Preliminary investigation determined that on November 19, 2025, at approximately 6:24 a.m., for unknown reasons, a pedestrian was within the right travel lane of Interstate 95 North, prior to exit 6, in the City of Stamford. The pedestrian was struck by Vehicle #1 and thrown to the left part of the highway; Vehicle 1 then left the scene. On October 5, 2025, at approximately 2:38pm, personnel from Troop C responded to Mansfield Hollow Lake after the Mansfield Fire Department discovered human remains floating in the water. Fire personnel recovered the remains onto a department boat. The Eastern District Major Crime Squad (EDMC) was notified and assumed the investigation. The Connecticut State Police, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Legislature and the Connecticut Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the Trooper Irving Nelson Memorial Roadway dedication ceremony. On 10/21/25 at approximately 6:47pm, a residential structure fire was reported at 441 Warrenville Road in Mansfield, which resulted in one fatality. The deceased was identified as Carol Dauphin (DOB: 10/28/45) of Mansfield, who was transported to an area hospital and pronounced later the same day. The Mansfield Deputy Fire Chief, Kevin Danielson, sustained burns while performing rescue efforts at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed
