Preliminary investigation determined that on November 19, 2025, at approximately 6:24 a.m., for unknown reasons, a pedestrian was within the right travel lane of Interstate 95 North, prior to exit 6, in the City of Stamford. The pedestrian was struck by Vehicle #1 and thrown to the left part of the highway; Vehicle 1 then left the scene.
The pedestrian was then struck by two other evading vehicles (Vehicle #2 and Vehicle #3). Vehicle #4 was merging from the center lane into the left lane and was unable to avoid striking the pedestrian; Vehicle #4 became disabled and the operator stayed on scene.
No other information was obtained on the three evading motor vehicles. The pedestrian, who sustained fatal injuries, is unidentified at this time, therefore a next of kin notification has not been conducted.
