State Police Investigate Fatal Residential Fire in Mansfield, Identification Made

On 10/21/25 at approximately 6:47pm, a residential structure fire was reported at 441 Warrenville Road in Mansfield, which resulted in one fatality.

The deceased was identified as Carol Dauphin (DOB: 10/28/45) of Mansfield, who was transported to an area hospital and pronounced later the same day.

The Mansfield Deputy Fire Chief, Kevin Danielson, sustained burns while performing rescue efforts at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
