We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Henry C. Lee, a world-renowned forensic scientist, former Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Safety, and longtime Director of the Connecticut State Police Forensic Science Laboratory. Dr. Lee dedicated his life to advancing forensic science and supporting the pursuit of justice, leaving a lasting legacy within law enforcement, the scientific community, and the State of Connecticut. Well known for his sense of humor, he would often mention in his presentations that he changed the height requirement of the CT State Police because he looked too short in photos standing next to a Trooper. He was an iconic figure both in the law enforcement and forensic worlds. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
