On Monday, 05/05/25 at approximately 3:00 PM, the Clinton, CT Police Department contacted Troop C- Tolland and requested assistance with locating a suspect in an active investigation. Clinton PD advised Troop C that the person in question, Alfred Ricciuti (DOB 06/06/83), had multiple extraditable arrest warrants out of New Jersey and that they believed Ricciuti was working at a business in Somers.
It was subsequently learned that Ricciuti had a total of five (5) active felony arrest warrants out of New Jersey, all of which had authorized extradition from Connecticut. The New Jersey warrants contained charges of burglary, theft and resisting arrest. At approximately 4:53 PM, Troopers conducting surveillance observed an individual matching Ricciuti's description in front of the business. The Troopers proceeded to the front of the business and made contact with the individual, who was confirmed to be Ricciuti. Troopers gave Ricciuti clear verbal directives to get on the ground, and Ricciuti refused to comply. K9 Viper was subsequently deployed and apprehended Ricciuti, who was subsequently arrested without further incident.
Ricciuti was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries sustained from the K9 bite. Ricciuti was later transported to Troop C, where he was processed on the following charge:
CGS 54-170; Extradition Arrest (Fugitive from Justice)
CGS 53a-167a; Interfering with an Officer/Resisting
Ricciuti was held on a cumulative $550,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on 05/06/25. Please see the attached criminal information summary.
