Glastonbury Man Arrested for Reckless Driving After 119 mph on I-384 in Manchester

On April 27, 2025, at approximately 3:29 PM, Troopers from Troop H - Hartford were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-384 east, in the area of exit 3 in the Town of Manchester. Troopers were utilizing a speed laser when they observed a Volkswagen Golf traveling in the right center lane, much faster than the flow of traffic. The Volkswagen then made an immediate lane change cutting in front of another vehicle in the left center lane, when the Trooper clocked their speed at 119 mph in the posted 65mph zone.

The Trooper then conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle and identified the operator as Antonio Carcia (DOB 02/12/1992) of Glastonbury. Carcia stated he was having issues with his car and that was the reason for his speed.

Carcia was placed under arrest and transported to Troop H where he was charged with the following:

C.G.S. 14-222 - Reckless Driving

C.G.S. 14-236 - Failure to Maintain Lane

Carcia was later released on a $1,500 bond awaiting a court date of 05/23/2025 at Manchester Superior Court.

Please see attached criminal information summary.
