Woodbury Police Officer Assaulted During Traffic Stop in Woodbury

Preliminary information shows that on 10/03/2024 at approximately 1:24 PM, a Woodbury Police Officer who is assigned with the Woodbury Resident Trooper’s Office conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street in Woodbury. During the course of the traffic stop, the Woodbury Officer was injured by the operator of the vehicle and was subsequently transported to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect is in State Police custody and there is no threat to the public at this time. The scene is very active and ongoing.
