Media Advisory - 2026 American Legion State Police Youth Week Graduation Set for Friday

The Connecticut State Police along with the American Legion are pleased to announce the graduation of the 2026 State Police Youth Week on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will take place at the State Police Academy, 285 Preston Ave, Meriden.

This intensive, week-long experience gives high school students a hands-on look at the life and responsibilities of law enforcement professionals. Cadets participate in physical training, classroom instruction, and simulated police scenarios led by Troopers.

Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony and speak with graduating cadets, and members of the State Police.
