On Wednesday 9/11/24 at approximately 10:55pm, personnel from Troop D- Danielson responded to a residential structure fire on Quaddick Town Farm Road in Thompson. Detectives from our Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit were requested by the local fire marshal and responded to the scene. It has been determined that the fire was suspicious in nature, and Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime Squad have also responded to the scene. During the early morning hours of Thursday 09/12/24 as the investigation continued to develop, a male party was located approximately 200 feet into the woods on the property. The male had sustained serious burn related injuries and has since been transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. This is all the information we have available for release at this time. The investigation is still active and ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available. The area surrounding the scene has been cordoned off, so we ask that any members of the media covering this incident adhere to the police line boundaries established by personnel on scene.
