Barkhamstead Man Arrested for Reckless Driving, Engaging in Pursuit After Fleeing Traffic Stop in Barkhamstead

On Thursday May 29, 2025, at approximately 7:30 AM, personnel from Troop B - North Canaan, attempted to serve an active arrest warrant on Jack Reynolds (DOB 09/28/2005) of Barkhamstead. The warrant for Reynolds' arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on 05/21/2025 where Reynolds failed to stop for a traffic stop and engaged Troopers in pursuit.

Reynolds was located at his residence and placed under arrest without incident. Reynolds was transported to Troop B for processing where he was charged with the following:

C.G.S. 14-222 - Reckless Driving

C.G.S. 53a-63 - Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree

C.G.S. 14-223 - Disobeying the Signal of an Officer

C.G.S. 14-223b - Engaging Police in a Pursuit

C.G.S. 14-232 - Unsafe Passing

C.G.S. 14-12(a) - Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle

C.G.S. 14-213b - Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Minimum Insurance

C.G.S. 14-215 - Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under Suspension

Reynolds was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear at Torrington Superior Court on 06/13/2025.
