9/3/22 MVA, Rte 15 N/B x 48 On Ramp in the Town of Trumbull- Car Fire, Serious Injuries

On 9/3/22 at approx. 2:30 am, Troop G- Bridgeport was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Rte 15 N/B in the area of x 48 in the Town of Trumbull. Upon arriving, Troopers observed a 2017 Ford Fusion facing the wrong way up an embankment near the Frenchtown Rd. overpass. On scene, Troopers learned, the Fusion was traveling in the left lane, left the portion of the roadway into the right side when it struck a wood beam guardrail. The vehicle then traveled up the embankment where it caught on fire, all occupants where able to get out of the vehicle, however some suffered serious injuries.
