The Connecticut State Police Bureau of Special Investigations is conducting an operation in the Town of Tolland. Spring Mountain Road between Tolland Stage Road (Rt 74) and Elizabeth Lane will be closed and the general public are encouraged to avoid the area. The area is contained and there is no threat to the public. CSP is being assisted by the CSP ESU Tactical and MSP Tactical Team, Trooper 1, and Air 1. Trooper First Class Marwing Pena turned himself in to Troop I today (May 13, 2026) on charges of 53a-254: Computer Crime 3rd Degree. Pena was processed and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond. After being charged, Pena was placed on administrative leave, with his police powers suspended immediately. Pena was hired as a Trooper in October 2018 and was most recently assigned to Troop H in Hartford. Please see attached criminal summary and arrest warrant.
