Traffic became fowled up in Hartford on Monday, 7/22 as Troop H received multiple 911 calls about ducks on 91 southbound in the area of exit 33 at approximately 3:47 PM. Troopers responded, move the ducks out of the roadway and cleared the scene for traffic to continue on. The ducks came back into the roadway later on, which caused a second response. Upon the second incident, a DMV officer was the first unit on scene and responding Troopers assisted with stopping traffic. Given the repeat incidents, Hartford animal control was then contacted to assist with removing the birds from the highway and relocate them to safety. Attached is body worn camera footage from one of the responding Troopers helping the ducks move out of the highway to the shoulder.
