Trooper First Class Seeger Honored at Congressional EOD Caucus as Nation’s Top Bomb Technician

The Connecticut State Police proudly recognizes Trooper First Class Jonathan Seeger for earning 1st Place in the U.S. Bomb Technician Association’s 2025 competition and being named the nation’s Top Bomb Technician by the USBTA.

The competition brought together highly trained public safety bomb technicians from across the country to evaluate their technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, decision making, and performance under demanding conditions.

Following his first-place finish, TFC Seeger was recently honored in Washington, D.C., during the annual Congressional EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Caucus by Congressmen Rick Crawford & Brian Mast. The event brings together members of Congress, military and public safety explosive ordnance disposal professionals, industry partners, and leaders from the EOD community to recognize the profession and discuss issues affecting bomb technicians and their families.

TFC Seeger’s achievement reflects his dedication to professional excellence, public safety, and the continued advancement of the bomb disposal community.

Congratulations to TFC Seeger on this outstanding accomplishment and well-deserved national recognition.
