State Police seek help to ID robbery suspect in Chaplin

State Police are seeking the help of the public to identify a suspect. On Sept. 10, 2020, at 8:00 p.m., Troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Chaplin Package Store, 169 Willimantic Road, Chaplin. The subject was described as a white male, about 5’9” tall, medium build with blondish colored hair, wearing a light green colored hooded sweatshirt that was drawn tight around his head, a blue surgical mask, dark colored shorts with a “Nike” label and dark colored sneakers. The suspect was reportedly holding a knife when he demanded money from the employee; the employee complied and the suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
