State Police Request Public Assistance - Serious Injury Collision on I-95 in Darien

Preliminary information indicates that on 10/13/2026, at approximately 6:49 a.m., Troop G - Bridgeport was advised of a collision on I-95 northbound in the area of Exit 13 in Darien. Serious injuries have been reported. EMS and the local fire department were also dispatched. I-95 northbound has been shut down at Exit 12 for the purposes of this ongoing investigation. This is anticipated to be an extended closure. We ask that anyone traveling in the area please use extra caution and seek alternate routes.

The evading vehicle was described by a witness as a dark colored pickup truck, possibly black or brown in color. This vehicle should be missing a side-view mirror and have sideswipe damage, to include damage to the metal sidestep of the vehicle.

Any potential witnesses or motorists who were traveling in the area of I-95 Northbound, north of Exit 12, passing the Northbound Darien Service Plaza, between approximately 6:40 a.m. and 6:50 a.m., on 10/13/2026, who may have video evidence or a vehicle equipped with a dash camera, are asked to contact the Connecticut State Police Troop G-Bridgeport at (203)696-2500.
