On Friday, February 13, 2026, members of the Connecticut State Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU) executed an active arrest warrant and safely took Zachary Apt (DOB 03/21/91), of Southington, into custody without incident. Today’s actions underscore the professionalism, precision, and unwavering dedication of those who work tirelessly to safeguard our communities.
Apt's arrest was the culmination of a four-and-a-half-year long homicide investigation, as Apt is the second suspect arrested in this case.
