On March 18, 2026, Major Humberto Henriques of the Connecticut State Police graduated as a member of the 297th session of the FBI National Academy. The graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions. Nationally, fewer than one percent of law enforcement officers have the opportunity to attend this prestigious program.

The 297th session graduated 253 law enforcement officers, consisting of men and women from 48 states and the District of Columbia. The class also included 26 members of law enforcement agencies from 24 countries, four military organizations, and four federal civilian organizations. A total of 56,941 graduates have completed the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935.

Major Henriques graduated from the Connecticut State Police Training Academy as a member of the 118th Training Troop. He has served as a Patrol Trooper at Troop G in Bridgeport, as a Patrol Trooper and later Sergeant at Troop I in Bethany, and as Resident Trooper in Beacon Falls. He most recently served as Chief of Staff for the Colonel and for the Lieutenant Colonel. He previously served as a Detective in the Torrington Police Department. Major Henriques holds a BA from Quinnipiac University and an MBA from Southern CT State University.

  Congratulations, Major Henriques!
