Skeletal Remains of Three Individuals Found in Burlington House

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 4:46 p.m., State Troopers responded to a home at 7 Stanwich Lane in Burlington for the report of human remains located in the structure.
A new homebuyer, who purchased the structure “as is” at a foreclosure auction, discovered skeletal remains of three individuals at the home.
The OCME has not determined a cause of death; however, there is no indication of anything suspicious and no indication of any criminal aspect. The identification of the three individuals is not yet confirmed.
Detectives from the CT State Police Western District Major Crime unit are investigating this case.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time.
This is all the information available for release at this time. CSP will provide updates once manner of death is determined and the identification of the three individuals is confirmed.
