Officer Involved Shooting in Bolton

Preliminary information indicates that on 03/01/2024, at approximately 2:14 p.m., Troop K Troopers responded to an assist citizen at an address on Meadow Road in Bolton, Connecticut.

 

Shortly after arriving at the address, investigators made contact with an individual. A Connecticut State Trooper at the scene discharged their duty weapon at the individual, causing injury. No other persons in the surrounding area were injured.


EMS responded to the address and the individual was transported to an area hospital for injuries.  One Trooper was also transported for evaluation.


There is no ongoing threat to the public.

 

This is an ongoing investigation led by the Office of the Inspector General, assisted by the Rockville State’s Attorney, detectives from the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad and Troop K.
