Media Advisory- Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) Training

Tomorrow, Wednesday August 14, 2024, a Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) training will be held at Prince Technical High School in Hartford, CT.  This is a joint training between the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) and the Connecticut State Police (CSP). 

 

CSTAG is a model for conducting threat assessments in schools, aimed at helping educators and law enforcement professionals identify, assess, and manage threatening situations within school environments. This training is crucial for ensuring that law enforcement and school administrators have the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain a safe and secure educational atmosphere.  State Police School Resource Officers (SRO's), CTECS educators and support staff will be conducting and participating in this training.


Media wishing to attend and record the training exercises are encouraged to report between 1-3pm at Prince Technical High School.  Media Point of Contact: Sgt. Luke Davis, CSP-PIO.
