Enfield Man Arrested for Home Invasion; Stealing a Firearm Following Disturbance in Lisbon

On Sunday, 06/29/25 at approximately 7:23 pm, personnel from Troop E- Montville were dispatched to Kimball Rd in Lisbon for reports of a male walking in the roadway screaming at passing vehicles. While Troopers were responding, further information was reported indicating that this male was involved in some form of altercation in a private residence involving a firearm.
Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a male in the roadway matching the description as provided. Based upon the information that was reported, the male party, later identified as Michael Grenier (DOB 08/13/88), of Enfield, was subsequently detained in handcuffs while the investigation continued. Troopers made contact with the victim at a residence on Kimball Rd, at which point it was learned that Grenier had entered the residence, assaulted the victim and stole a firearm. The firearm stolen from the victim's residence was recovered a short distance away from where Grenier was initially located by responding Troopers.
Grenier was advised that he was under arrest and was transported to Troop E, where he was processed on the following charges:

CGS 53a-136; Robbery 3rd Degree
CGS 53a-167a; Interfering with an Officer/Resisting
CGS 53a-181; Breach of Peace 2nd Degree (3 counts)
CGS 53a-182; Disorderly Conduct
CGS 53a-212; Stealing a Firearm
CGS 53a-61a; Assault 3rd Degree- Victim Elderly or Other
Grenier was held on a $200,000 bond and was later transported to Norwich Superior Court for arraignment on 06/30/25. Please see the attached criminal information summary.
