CT State Police Firearms Unit Offers Online Services for Efficiency, Convenience

The Connecticut State Police Special Licensing and Firearms Unit (SLFU) is pleased to announce a new, convenient online portal. The portal will give existing pistol permit holders the ability to renew their pistol permit online, register their pre-ban assault weapons and CT “others,” and the ability to update the address of a pistol permit holder online. These new features will create efficiency for the pistol permit holder by saving time and money through a simple and convenient process. A “How-to” guide has been posted on the SLFU website. Users may create an account utilizing the security feature of two-factor authentication. SLFU will continue to develop online capabilities to enhance efficiency and convenience.
