The Connecticut State Police, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Legislature and the Connecticut Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the Trooper Irving Nelson Memorial Roadway dedication ceremony. On 10/21/25 at approximately 6:47pm, a residential structure fire was reported at 441 Warrenville Road in Mansfield, which resulted in one fatality. The deceased was identified as Carol Dauphin (DOB: 10/28/45) of Mansfield, who was transported to an area hospital and pronounced later the same day. The Mansfield Deputy Fire Chief, Kevin Danielson, sustained burns while performing rescue efforts at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed
