Windsor Man Arrested Following Investigation into Child Pornography

On January 22, 2025, members of the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit served an arrest warrant for Mahmood Musid (DOB 03/19/1984) of Windsor. The investigation was started in May of 2024 after child sexual abuse material was discovered as being shared from the Internet account assigned to Musid's residence.


In September of 2024, members of the Connecticut State Police. with assistance from the Windsor Police Department, executed a search and seizure warrant at Musid's residence. Computers and computer related equipment were seized during the search of the home. Further examination of the seized property was conducted, and files of child sexual abuse material were located. An arrest warrant was drafted and granted by Hartford Superior Court.


Musid was processed without incident and charged with the following


53a-196d - Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material in the First Degree


53a-196b - Promoting a Minor in an Obscene Performance, 53a-196b.


Musid was later released on a $75,000 bond, awaiting a court date of 01/31/2025 at Hartford Superior Court.
