Suspect stopped in attempted break-in leads to DUI/Narcotics arrest and bulk cash seizure
On Monday, December 27th at approximately 11:42pm, Troopers from Troop A were dispatched to 80 Garnet Road in the Town of Roxbury for a report of an individual possibly breaking into the residence. Troop A was given a description of a white Chevy pickup and one male leaving the scene. Upon arrival to the area, Troopers located the vehicle driving on Garnet Road and a traffic stop was initiated. Troopers made contact with the operator, identified as Samuel Jones (DOB 04/17/1996). Jones exhibited signs of intoxication and was administered a series of standardized field sobriety tests which he failed. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 9.2 pounds of marijuana, 185 Adderall pills, drug paraphernalia, a large assortment of THC infused edibles and $25,675.00 US currency.
