Six illegal firearms safely taken off the streets of Bridgeport to combat gun violence

On July 28, members of the CSP Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Control Task Force, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force and Bridgeport Police executed a search warrant at a Bridgeport residence. Detectives located a significant amount of loaded weapons (including a stolen handgun), ammunition, drugs and drug packaging paraphernalia. The resident of the home, a convicted felon, was charged with weapons violations and narcotics violations, with bond set at $250,000.00.
