New London Man Facing Multiple Charges After Engaging Police in Pursuit with a Stolen Vehicle

A Trooper on patrol along I-95 at the Gold Star Bridge spotted a unique vehicle pass by his stationary location. The vehicle was a white 1999 Isuzu NPR, which was loaded with yellow lobster cages. This fit the description of a vehicle that had been involved in two separate evading motor vehicle accidents earlier in the day within New London County. The Trooper was also aware that the vehicle had been previously confirmed as stolen out of Narragansett, RI. As the Trooper began to follow the vehicle, he observed the operator exit I-95 into the city of New London.

The Trooper notified Troop E via radio and requested assistance from the New London Police Department. Upon arrival of New London units, The Trooper attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop, and the operator failed to comply. The operator attempted to elude police, which ended quickly once he crashed into an unoccupied, parked vehicle. The Operator, later identified as Lindsey Brown (DOB 11/29/91), fled the vehicle on foot and was taken into custody a short time later. Brown was apprehended a short time later and subsequently transported to Troop E-Montville for processing. The Narragansett, RI Police Department was advised of the stolen vehicle being located. Please see the attached criminal information summary for charges/further detail.
