K9 Krypto Helps Capture Suspect in Morris Home Break-In

On Friday, 03/14/2025 at approximately 2:56pm, Troopers from Troop L - Litchfield arrested Joshua Pirie (DOB: 12/24/1986) on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The warrant for Pirie's arrest stemmed from an active burglary investigation which occurred on 03/11/2025.

Pirie was arrested and transported to Troop L for processing, where he was charged with the following violations:

C.G.S. 53-21 - Risk of Injury to a Child

C.G.S. 53-247(a) - Cruelty to Animals

C.G.S. 53a-62(a(1 - Threatening 2nd-Physical Threat

C.G.S. 53a-63 - Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree

C.G.S. 53a-102 - Burglary 2nd Degree

C.G.S. 53a-106 - Possession of Burglar Tools

C.G.S. 53a-115 - Criminal Mischief 1st Degree

C.G.S. 53a-167a - Interfering with an Officer

C.G.S. 53a-167c - Assault of Public Safety Personnel

C.G.S. 53a-182 - Disorderly Conduct

Pirie was held on a $250,000 court-set bond and was scheduled to appear at Torrington Superior Court on 03/14/2025.
